One Life Project Plans Expansion in West Virginia with New Offices in Morgantown and Princeton

The One Life Project is excited to announce the expansion of our presence in West Virginia with two new offices set to open this holiday season, marking a milestone as our ninth and tenth offices nationwide. These new locations represent not only growth but also our ongoing commitment to bringing mental health resources, crisis support, and empowerment programs closer to students and communities across the Mountain State's college and rural areas, and beyond.

Our current Morgantown office will officially close on October 24, 2025, making way for a new, larger space just minutes from West Virginia University. The Morgantown WVU Office, soon to be located inside the 125 Granville Square, Morgantown, WV 26501 building, will officially open on November 29th, 2025. This new location, only five minutes from WVU’s campus, will allow us to expand programming, increase student volunteer opportunities, and strengthen outreach to young people in the heart of Monongalia County.

“West Virginia has become so much more than a place for us to expand; it has truly become a home for me personally and my team, and for the mission of the One Life Project,” said Alexander Kovarovic, Senior Executive Director of the One Life Project. “The resilience, kindness, and strength of the people here inspire me every day that I am here within the state. Opening these two new offices is about making sure that every young person in West Virginia knows they are never alone and that help, hope, and support are always within reach, even if it may not feel like it at the time. We are here to remind youth that they matter, that they can grow, and that pain does get better”

In addition to the Morgantown expansion, the One Life Project will also open a new office in Mercer County, located in the Princeton/Bluefield area. The Mercer County office is scheduled to open on December 24th, 2025, as part of our yearly Christmas Eve tradition. Over the past five years, the One Life Project has celebrated the holiday by opening a new office to serve youth and families, symbolizing hope, renewal, and the gift of support to those who need it most. The Mercer County office address will be announced shortly and will serve as a hub for Southern West Virginia and parts of Virginia, ensuring young people in this region have access to vital resources and programs.

Lillian Reynolds, Assistant Senior Executive Director, emphasized the importance of this expansion for college students and local youth:

“Our Morgantown office’s new location just five minutes from WVU’s campus means we can better serve students where they are. College can be an incredibly stressful and isolating time, and having an office nearby gives students a place to turn to for support, resources, and community. We’re so excited to meet them right in the heart of their daily lives.”

The addition of these two offices reflects a broader vision: to expand southward along the East Coast, bringing the message of mental health awareness, suicide prevention, and youth empowerment to even more communities. With the leadership of our dedicated team and the passion of over 2,000 youth volunteers, we remain focused on building a kinder world where no young person feels alone.

Aimee Eddy, National Senior Director of Education, reflected on the Mercer County office’s upcoming Christmas Eve opening:

“Each office opening is special, but Mercer County feels especially meaningful. Southern West Virginia and neighboring Virginia communities have unique challenges, and our goal is to provide resources and support tailored to their needs. It’s our tradition to open a new office on Christmas Eve to remind young people that hope doesn’t take a holiday. This expansion continues that promise.”

Volunteer sign-up opportunities for the new Morgantown office and our new Mercer County office will be released in the coming weeks. We invite the community to join us in celebrating this exciting new chapter and to continue supporting our mission to educate, advocate, and empower young people across West Virginia and beyond.
