AMHERST, MASSACHUSETTS (2026) - The One Life Project is entering 2026 at a defining moment in its history. Nearly ten years ago, in September of 2016, OLP began as an idea formed by our founder and Executive Director, Alex Kovarovic, rooted in lived experience, community need, and a belief that young people deserve accessible, human-centered mental health support. At the time, we had no offices, no national footprint, and no guarantee that the idea would grow beyond a vision. What existed instead was commitment, persistence, and a refusal to accept that the status quo was good enough.
Over the past decade, that idea has evolved into a multi-state regional organization serving communities across 17 states, supported by dedicated staff, volunteers, partners, and young people who believed in the mission and helped shape it. As we approach OLP’s 10-year anniversary, we are proud to announce the largest expansion in the organization’s history, marked by the opening of three new offices in Massachusetts during 2026.

Massachusetts holds deep significance for this next chapter of the One Life Project. It reflects the values that have guided OLP since its earliest days: community engagement, innovation in mental health and education, and a strong commitment to meeting people where they are. In April 2026, OLP will open its first Massachusetts office in Amherst, which will serve as the organization’s Executive Management Office. This location will house Executive Director Alex Kovarovic, members of the executive leadership team, and volunteers supporting executive and organizational operations across all states we serve. The Amherst office will function as a central space for leadership, long-term strategy, and organizational vision, anchoring OLP’s growth with intentional, values-driven decision-making as the organization continues to expand across the East Coast.
In May 2026, the One Life Project will open its new National Headquarters in Boston, representing a major operational milestone for the organization. With this move, OLP’s current headquarters office in New York City will transition into a regional office overseeing operations in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, while Boston becomes the central hub for national operations, programs, partnerships, and organizational growth. Establishing a headquarters in Boston positions OLP to strengthen its national infrastructure, deepen cross-sector partnerships, and support a growing network of programs and teams across the country, while remaining firmly grounded in the mission that has guided the organization for the past decade.
Later in the year, in October 2026, OLP will open a third Massachusetts office in Salem, which will serve as the New England Regional Operations Office. This location will house regional leaders representing all New England states and support local and regional teams of volunteers serving communities throughout the region. The Salem office will play a critical role in ensuring that OLP’s work remains responsive to local needs while maintaining strong regional coordination, reinforcing our organization’s belief that effective mental health education, advocacy, and support must be both community-based and collaborative.
While Massachusetts represents the heart of OLP’s largest expansion to date, 2026 is also a year of continued regional growth beyond New England. A new office in Miami, Florida, is scheduled to open in late March 2026, expanding OLP’s reach in the Southeast, followed by the opening of an office in Morgantown, West Virginia, in August 2026. Each new location reflects OLP’s commitment to building sustainable, community-rooted operations that expand access to mental health support and youth-focused programming across diverse regions.

From one idea in 2016 to a multi-state organization approaching its tenth year, the One Life Project’s growth has always been guided by purpose rather than pace. The opening of these new offices is not simply about physical space or geographic expansion, but about honoring the people and communities who have shaped OLP along the way and preparing for the next decade of impact. As we celebrate ten years since Alex Kovarovic first launched the idea of the One Life Project, we do so with gratitude for how far we have come and determination for what lies ahead. This expansion marks the beginning of a new chapter, one rooted in the same belief that started it all: that one life matters, and one life can change everything.
